Dr. Lixion Avila, National Hurricane Center senior hurricane specialist, translates for Dr. Richard Knaab, NHC director, during a press conference at Manzanillo International Airport, Mexico, May 5, 2014, during the Caribbean Hurricane Awareness Tour. At each CHAT location, Knabb and representatives from the countries' meteorological services and disaster preparedness agencies briefed local officials and the media about the impact of hurricanes in the region and the importance of being prepared.
