Military members from U.S. European Command, United States Air Forces in Europe, 86th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and the 37th Airlift Squadron loads meets with Admiral Doug Venlex Defense Attache for Russia and Russian officials upon arriving at Moscow Airport to deliver firefighting and humanitarian supplies on to a C-130J at Ramstein Air Force Base, Aug. 13. The supplies are being delivered to Moscow, Russia, after an official request from the government of Russia to the US and at the request of the Department of State, The Department of Defense directed U.S. European Command to provide valuable firefighting equipment that includes; firefighting protective equipment and tools to help Russia combat the ongoing wildfires.
