Roy, is training with Platoon 2005, Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, and is scheduled to graduate Jan. 13, 2017. “I joined to experience a transformation and to use what I learn here to make a difference in the world,” said Roy, who graduated from Spaulding High School in 2016. Approximately 19,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 12 weeks of rigorous training.
