Marines of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Sailors with the USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) relax while watching a movie on television in the ship’s library on Dec. 16, 2016 as the ship sails to its final destination after wrapping up its part in the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise. The library is open periodically throughout the day for the Marines and Sailors to check emails, read, watch movies and play video games in their leisure time while underway. The ARGMEUEX is a three-week training evolution intended to build upon previous relationships, thereby enhancing Navy and Marine Corps interoperability and amphibious warfare capabilities to tackle a wide range of operations during their upcoming deployment.
