    ST. INIGOES, Maryland (Nov. 4, 2016) - Capt. Jason Hammond, Naval Air Station Patuxent River executive officer, applaudes those in attendance to the USS Tulip ceremony Nov. 4 for their dedication to keeping the memory of those lost aboard the Tulip alive. Naval Air Station Patuxent River held a memorial service for the 47 Sailors killed on Nov. 11, 1864 when the Tulip suffered an explosion off St. Inigoes due to a faulty boiler.
