    369th Sustainment Brigade

Spc. Marcia V. Chiquipaucar, the youngest Soldier in the 369th Sustainment Brigade, and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Gerard M. Ford, the oldest Soldier in the 369th Sustainment Brigade, cut the first pieces of the National Guard birthday cake at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, December 13, 2016. It is traditional for the oldest and youngest members of an organization to cut the cake. The National Guard is the oldest component of the U.S. military and traces its roots to Dec. 13, 1636 when the first militia regiments in North America were organized in Massachusetts. The 369th SB is a New York Army National Guard unit currently deployed in Kuwait in support of logistics operations in the U.S. Central Command area of operations. (U.S. Army Photo by Sgt. Cesar E.
