Command Sgt. Maj. Ronald Riling, the U.S. Forces Command sergeant major, and Command Sgt. Maj. Dennis Carey, the former U.S. Forces Command sergeant major, presents Pfc. Cody Dodson who is representing III, with a Army Commendation Medal during the award ceremony for the U.S. Forces Command Soldier and Non-commissioned Officer of the Year competition at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, July 29. The four-day competition pits eight Soldiers and eight NCOs against one another in order to determine the best of the best from active-duty, National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers under U.S. Forces Command.
