During YS 71, U.S. Marines and Sailors with 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade partnered with JGSDF Western Army service members to focus on bilateral planning, coordination, and interoperability to enhance the U.S.-Japan security alliance for continued peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.
