Tom Hanson, a registered nurse with Joint Task Force National Scout Jamboree, tends to U.S. Air Force Academy Cadet 2nd Class Brian Smith’s simulated wounds during a spider bite response exercise July 23. The JTF's goal is to provide professional military support and a safe and secure environment for Scouts and visitors during the event. The exercise was developed to prepare JTF personnel for the unlikely event of a variety of accidents.
