FORT IRWIN, Calif. — Spc. Masua Tupai, Pale Horse Troop, Regimental Support Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, portraying the opposition force, fires his M240B machine gun at an incoming UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter during an air assault mission at the Fuldez Ground Control Station at the National Training Center, Dec 6, 2016. The Blackhorse Regiment partnered with the 2916th Aviation Battalion, 916th Support Brigade, to conduct the planning and execution of the AASLT mission in order to validate the standard operating procedures of the battalion, enhance the units understanding of aviation capabilities, and solidify the relationship between the two Fort Irwin units.
