The flag that flew on the USS St. Louis during the Dec. 7, 1941 Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor is on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force Dec. 7, 2016. The one-time display commemorates the 75th anniversary of the "Day that will live in Infamy," which ushered the United States participation into World War II. Looking upon the display is museum volunteer Del Johnson whose father, U.S. Navy Fireman 2nd Class John Johnson, manned a machine gun at Pearl Harbor sub base on that fateful morning.
