A 96th Medical Group surgical team, treats a simulated amputation of a right leg, Jan. 14 at Eglin Hospital on Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The MDG surgical teams’ exercises simulate traumatic injuries commonly seen during deployments. The teamwork skills honed during exercises are also applied daily in the hospital’s operating rooms.
