Combat Cargo Marines remove equipment as a oil tanker passes through the well deck of USS Carter Hall (LSD-50) Dec. 1, 2016 during Amphibious Ready Group, Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise off the coast of Onslow Beach, North Carolina. These Marines were assigned the combat cargo billet as a part of ship taxes and come from a myriad of military occupational specialties native to the Marine units aboard Carter Hall. They play a key role in the on and offloading of vehicles and equipment on amphibious vessels, working long hours to accomplish their mission. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Melanye Martinez)
