161205-N-ZK021-173 PEARL HARBOR (Dec. 5, 2016) Pearl Harbor survivor and honorary bandmaster Ira John Schab conducts the Pacific Fleet Band during a public performance at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. The Pacific Fleet Band made Schab an honorary bandmaster during the concert, one of several performances during the 75th Pearl Harbor Commemoration week. Dec. 7, 2016, marks the 75th anniversary on the attack of Pearl Harbor and Oahu. As a Pacific nation, the U.S. is committed to continue its responsibility of protecting the Pacific sea-lanes, advancing international ideals and relationships, well as delivering security, influence and responsiveness in the region.
