161205-N-ZK021-162 PEARL HARBOR (Dec. 5, 2016) Pearl Harbor survivor Ira John Schab, an honorary bandmaster, conducts the Pacific Fleet Band during a public performance at Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. The Pacific Fleet Band made Schab an honorary bandmaster at the concert, one of several performances during 75th Pearl Harbor Commemoration events. Dec. 7, 2016, marks the 75th anniversary on the attack of Pearl Harbor and Oahu. As a Pacific nation, the U.S. is committed to continue its responsibility of protecting the Pacific sea-lanes, advancing international ideals and relationships, well as delivering security, influence and responsiveness in the region.
