    Pearl Harbor Survivor Appointed Honorary Bandmaster During 75th Commemoration of the Attack on Pearl Harbor

    161205-N-ZK021-154 PEARL HARBOR (Dec. 5, 2016) Petty Officer 1st Class Chris Eddlemon, of Paris, Texas, assigned to the Pacific Fleet Band, presents Pearl Harbor survivor Ira John Schab with their command ball cap at the start of their performance at Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. During the band performance, Pacific Fleet Band made Schab an honorary bandmaster. The concert was part of commemoration events honoring the 75th anniversary on the attack of Pearl Harbor and Oahu. As a Pacific nation, the U.S. is committed to continue its responsibility of protecting the Pacific sea-lanes, advancing international ideals and relationships, well as delivering security, influence and responsiveness in the region.
