Navy Capt. Jeff Amick, the USS Iwo Jima commanding officer, addresses Miami-Dade County officials about Continuing Promise 2010 and thanks Miami-Dade County for its hospitality in allowing Marines and sailors aboard the USS Iwo Jima to visit Miami, July 20, 2010. Amick was later presented a key to Miami-Dade County for CP10’s upcoming humanitarian efforts to the Caribbean, Central and South America. More than 500 Special-Purpose MAGTF Marines and sailors spent three days in Miami en route to continuing the four-month deployment.
