Marines from Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, respond to their senior drill instructor after being released for liberty at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Dec. 1. After the Marines were released, they were allowed six hours of on-base liberty before graduation on Friday. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate Dec. 2.
