Marines of Headquarters and Service Battalion conduct a three-mile run during the Atlas Games at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Nov. 22. The Marines were required to carry water jugs, ammunition cans and boxes of Meals Ready to Eat during the run. The Atlas Games consisted of pull-ups, a three-mile run, tire flips, a simulated medical evacuation and a tug-of-war competition at the end of the games. Various units of the battalion competed for a 72-hour liberty period.
