U.S. service members assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa and Camp Lemonnier call in to arrange a simulated medical evacuation after a buddy carry during the Joint Warrior Competition, Nov. 19, 2016, Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. After the joint physical fitness test, participants started the joint combat fitness test. The combat test was comprised of a low crawl, tourniquet application, buddy carry, radio medical evacuation, grenade toss, tire flip, ammo can carry, dead lift, and rope climb. Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa is a multinational effort to conduct theater security cooperation, combat violent extremism and enable freedom of movement within East Africa in order to defend U.S. interests and support aligned regional efforts.
