    KAIKOURA, New Zealand (Nov. 18, 2016) Chief Petty Officer Phillip Pickle, assigned to USS Sampson (DDG 102), assists a Kaikoura resident with filling her water containers. A group of 18 U.S. Sailors and Coast Guardsmen came ashore from Sampson to support New Zealand forces in rendering assistance to residents affected by the recent earthquake.
