Marines from 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit were invited by the French army and French Foreign Legion to compete in a soccer match in Djibouti, Africa. The 24th MEU is deployed with the Nassau Amphibious Ready Group as the theater reserve for the 5th Fleet Area of Operation. 24 MEU is an expeditionary ready force capable of rapid deployment to a variety of missions from full scale combat operations to humanitarian assistance.
