Landing signals officers aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman wait for another aircraft to enter the landing pattern. LSOs are responsible for guiding aircraft on final approach for landing and evaluating each landing on board the ship. Harry S. Truman is deployed as part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
