The ceremony, held at the world's only United Nations Memorial Cemetery, in Busan, was created in 2007 by Vincent Courtenay, a Korean War veteran, who suggested, "Turn Towards Busan" as an international campaign consisting of simultaneous silence and memorial ceremonies worldwide, synchronized at 11 a.m., Nov. 11.
