PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Nov. 5, 2016) Rear Adm. Jeffrey A. Harley, president, U.S. Naval War College (NWC), administers the federal oath of enlistment to people entering the military during a ceremony honoring U.S. military veterans at the Rhode Island Department of Education building. “To the young men and women who have entered the military today, you are now among the list of proud veterans who have served before you and who continue to serve today,” said Harley. The ceremony was followed by a torch procession by veterans who walked from the Department of Education building to Waterplace Park for the “Waterfire Salute to Veterans.”
