FORT CARSON, Colorado – Pfc. Guy Garavaglia, a petroleum supply specialist for Company A, 64th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, checks a packing list ensuring there are no discrepancies on the paperwork during staging of his battalion’s vehicles at the railhead on Fort Carson, Colorado, Nov. 8, 2016. The vehicles are destined for Bremerhaven, Germany, where 3rd Brigade will receive its full set of ABCT equipment before onward movement to Poland for its deployment in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. The arrival of the heavy brigade in January will mark the beginning of a continuous presence of an armored brigade combat team in central and eastern Europe to contribute to and strengthen NATO deterrence and defense efforts.
