Neal Plazer, assigned to the Armored Assault Vehicle Platoon, Combat Assault Company, 3rd Marine Regiment, keeps a close eye on his driver as they approach the Royal Australian Navy amphibious ship HMAS Kanimbla. The Marines were embarking aboard Kanimbla in preparation for Rim of the Pacific 2010 exercises. RIMPAC 2010 is a biennial, multinational exercise designed to strengthen regional partnerships and improve interoperability.
