ARABIAN GULF (Nov 6, 2016) Seaman Cassidy Edison, from Sugar Land, Texas, stands the port life buoy watch on the fantail of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Edison serves aboard Ike as a deck seaman and is responsible for ship preservation, maintenance and line handling. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
