Petty Officer 1st Class Keith Vanbuskirk, assigned to the littoral combat ship USS Freedom, demonstrates the sighting system for an M4 assault rifle to a Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force sailor as part of a visit, board, search and seizure exchange. Freedom is participating in Rim of the Pacific 2010, a biennial, multinational exercise designed to strengthen regional partnerships and improve interoperability.
