Standing at the door of a C-23 "Sherpa" aircraft, Fish and Wildlife Conservation fisheries biologist Kate Harriger observes water near the Gulf Shore for product of the oil spill. Once she spots oil or tar, Harriger takes photographs with a camera that records the exact grid coordinates of where it is. The photos are later downloaded and the information is reported to expedite skimming and booming along the affected area.
