Bilateral Defense Committee Co-Chair Maj. Gen. Gerald Malinga, the Deputy Chief of the South African Air Force, discusses training and exercise opportunities with Air National Guard Maj. Gen. Eric Vollmecke, the Deputy Director for Strategic Initiatives on the Joint Staff. The two military leaders participated in U.S. and Republic of South Africa Bilateral Defense Committee meeting October 25 at the New York State Military Museum in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
