ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 26, 2016) Seaman Carmelo Collins, from Detroit, conducts regularly scheduled maintenance on a LAU 116 launcher in the ordnance shop aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Collins serves aboard Ike as an aviation ordnanceman and is responsible for assembling and maintaining all ordnance for the ship. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
