161025-N-AC117-104 PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 25, 2016) Seaman De’shawn Hackett, from Pittsburg, California, assigned to the “Shadow Hawks” of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 141, inspects a “P-bar” for residual water after an engine wash of an EA-18G Growler jet aircraft on the flight deck of the Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Maintenance personnel perform a full engine wash on each Growler after every 200 hours of flight time. Ronald Reagan is on patrol with Carrier Strike Group Five, supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
