U.S. Army Pfc. Adrian Coomes, Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment infantryman secures first aid bandages on a simulated casualty during a spur ride event at a nearby airfield in Djibouti in support of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, Oct. 21, 2016. Twenty-eight U.S. Army Soldiers and one Air Force Airman participated in the traditional Army event where they completed 10 tasks with various stress events before each task in approximately 19 hours. Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa is a multinational effort to conduct theater security cooperation, combat violent extremism and enable freedom of movement within East Africa in order to defend U.S. interests and support aligned regional efforts.
