Airmen with the 35th Civil Engineer Squadron fire department use firetrucks to extinguish flames during an aircraft crash burn at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Oct. 12, 2016. Firetrucks can hold approximately 3,000 gallons of water and spray up to 750 gallons of water per minute. Firetrucks are also equipped with boom sticks, which are used to reach higher elevationd flames and can spray directly down on the fires.
