The visit, board, search and seizure team assigned to the guided-missile cruiser USS Chosin look for possible threats upon boarding the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force guided-missile destroyer JS Atago during a simulated VBSS exercise. Atago and Chosin are en route to the Hawaiian operating area for Rim of the Pacific 2010. RIMPAC is a biennial, multi-national exercise designed to strengthen regional partnerships and improve multi-national interoperability.
