Beaufort, S.C., native, 1st Sgt. Claudia Polite, and Maj. Bryant Venable, from Clarksville, Va., display their unit's Welcome Home plaque and Yellow Banner upon its return from a deployment to Iraq at Army Support Activity-Dix's B Company, June 1. Their unit, 1357th Civil Affairs Company, whose motto is "Securing the Victory and Protecting the Force," is an Army Reserve organization from Pennsauken, N.J. that mobilized from Dix last June. The Yellow Banner is given to units who mobilize through ASA-Dix as a symbolic gesture that they are in the thoughts and well-wishes of the ASA-Dix community. The banner is hung in Infantry Park while the unit is deployed and given back to the organization upon its return from combat.
