    Admiral Kurt Tidd, commanding officer for U.S. Southern Command, awards U.S. Marine Sgt. David P. Addison, with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Southern Command, the Joint Service Achievement Medal during a visit to Joint Task Force Matthew headquarters in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Oct. 15, 2016. After 8 days of supply drop operations; Joint Task Force Matthew has delivered over 217 metric tons of supplies utilizing CH-53E Super Stallion and CH-47 Chinook helicopters. JTF Matthew, a U.S. Southern Command-directed team comprised of Marines, soldiers, sailors and airmen, is supporting the U.S. Agency for International Development’s disaster relief operations in Haiti during the critical early stages after the island country was struck by Hurricane Matthew.
