Sailors attached to Resolute Support Mission celebrated the Navy's 241st Birthday with a commemorative event in the Destille Garden here yesterday. More than 200 people from different service branches and various NATO countries attended the ceremony which featured Deputy Chief Staff – Security Assistance and Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan commanding general, Maj. Gen. Rick Kaiser as the Guest of Honor and Capt.(SEAL) Grant Staats as the guest speaker.
CSTC-A’s own Lt. j.g. Sam Colton was the evening's emcee and the U.S. Forces - Afghanistan Band from Bagram Airfield added live Navy and patriotic music selections.
