Drill Instructor Staff Sgt. Jedidiah Warthen directs recruits of Golf Company, 2nd Recruit
Training Battalion, to get off the bus Oct. 10, 2016, on Parris Island, S.C. Golf Company is
scheduled to graduate Oct. 14, 2016. Warthen, 31, is from Salida, Co. Marines, sailors and
civilians assigned to the remain behind element aboard Parris Island worked tirelessly to ensure
the safety of the base so the more than 6,000 recruits and personnel who evacuated to Marine
Corps Logistics Base Albany could return to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island Oct. 10-
11, 2016. All personnel are expected to return to work in support of normal operations no later
