ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 10, 2016) Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Crans sands a computer desk in the carpentry shop of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Crans serves aboard Ike as a hull maintenance technician and is currently assigned to the carpentry shop. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
