Marine Corps Recruiting Command has successfully achieved all recruiting missions assigned by the Commandant of the Marine Corps for Fiscal Year (FY) 2016, and accessed a historically high number of diversity officer accessions. Marine OSOs closed out FY16 accessing 1,604 new officers and a record high of 33.2 percent categorized as diversity accessions. For the greater part of a decade, dating back to the 35th Commandant of the Marine Corps’ 2010 Planning Guidance, General James F. Amos’ priority to ‘improve diversity representation throughout the Corps’ has remained an annual Marine Corps Recruiting Command priority.
