A guide from Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, stands with his platoon’s guidon prior to starting the motivational run at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Oct. 6. The run serves as the last physical training event before graduation. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Lima Company is scheduled to graduate Oct. 7.
