A Djibouti Armed Forces (FAD) service member connects a cord to run between an Africa Data Sharing Network (ADSN) modem and laptop at FAD Headquarters in Djibouti, Sept. 28, 2016. While conducting the best practices training, the U.S. Army, assigned to Combined Joint Task-Horn of Africa, also held an ADSN validation with the FAD soldiers to prepare them to deploy to Somalia. The ADSN provides network and Voice over Internet Protocol capabilities between the several African countries participating in Africa Union Mission in Somalia. Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa is a multinational effort to conduct theater security cooperation, combat violent extremism and enable freedom of movement within East Africa in order to defend U.S. interests and support aligned regional efforts.(U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
