A recruit from Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, conducts crunches during a circuit course at Marine Corps Recruits Depot San Diego, Sept. 27. Drill instructors watched the recruits to make sure they were doing the exercises correctly and motivated them throughout the event. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Golf Company is scheduled to graduate Dec. 9.
