A recruit from Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, maintains the plank position during a circuit course at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Sept. 27. Recruits progressively build their overall strength during recruit training by conducting different physical events during training. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Golf Company is scheduled to graduate Dec. 9.
