(Sept. 22, 2016) — Navy Diver 2nd Class David Purkey, assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 2, Company 2-3, gives the “okay” signal after surfacing during a dive training evolution aboard MV Brandon Bordelon. The evolution is part of Company 2-3’s two-week final certification exercise. MDSU 2, the only east coast mobile diving and salvage unit, is headquartered at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story.
