In the process of being refurbished, this C-141B Starlifter model is being worked on by the members of the 437th Maintenance Squadron sheet metal and corrosion shop at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, Sept. 9, 2016. Originally built when C-141’s were stationed at Charleston Air Force Base, this model hung in the rafters of the 437th MXS building until being requested by the base bowling alley named “Starlifter Lanes.” (Courtesy photo)
