Battle of Midway veteran George Bernstein, right, salutes the colors during the Battle of Midway ceremony at the Midway atoll. Bernstein was an 18-year-old enlisted Sailor aboard the Yorktown-class aircraft carrier USS Hornet as part of Torpedo Squadron 8 during the Battle of Midway. More than 100 people, including American and Japanese World War II veterans attended a ceremony commemorating the 68th anniversary of the Battle of Midway.
