RUKLA, Lithuania –– Col. Mindaugas Steponavicius, commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces “Iron Wolf” Mechanized Infantry Brigade, pins a Lithuanian Armed Forces Medal for Mutual Support on 1st Sgt. Curtis Reid’s chest during a ceremony Sept. 21. Reid, the first sergeant of Battle Company, 3rd Combined Arms Battalion, 69th Armored Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, and the rest of his Solders received the medals from the Lithuanian Armed Forces for the training they conducted over the last six months with the Lithuanian Army. 3-69 AR has spent the last several months training in Lithuania in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, a U.S. led effort being conducted in Eastern Europe to demonstrate U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region.
